STATUS

Context

Kappa Theta Pi (KTP) is a professional technology fraternity. I worked on a new tool called “KTP LIFE” to help brothers manage their engagement and point goals. KTP brothers are busy college students balancing professional and social growth.
PROBLEM
Currently, KTP brothers rely on a shared spreadsheet, but it’s not designed for tracking their engagement and point goals. Since KTP LIFE was originally made for rush events, it isn’t optimized for managing ongoing participation.

Research

KTP’s has a 40.6% engagement rate, with 83.5% of brothers nearly reaching their goals but falling short.

This led me to conduct 10+ interviews to find out what’s wrong and how we can do better.

SIGNIFICANCE
With over 150 daily users and 450+ active users overall, the current system's inefficiencies make it incredibly challenging for brothers to track their progress and stay engaged.
Opportunity
A better point-tracking system will lead to more engaged brothers. If they are satisfied, they'll meet their goals, stay involved, and recommend the fraternity, strengthening the community and driving future growth.
